Susan Vaickauski, Founder
Sue founded the Fred Outa Foundation in 2006 after volunteering with Fred Outa in 2004. During her 9 year tenure as president of the foundation, Sue was responsible for realizing the vision of building a girl’s high school so the girls of Spurgeon’s Academy have an opportunity to further their education.



Fred Outa, Director of School Operations
The Honorable Fred O. Outa is a member of Parliament and oversees the operations of the schools locally in Nairobi. Fred is an integral member of the foundation. Please read the About Fred Outa page of the website to learn more about Fred's inspirational story
 
 
Joli Fridman, President
Joli has been working with the foundation for many years, she became president in 2015. Joli is passionate about positively contributing to better the lives of the orphaned children in Kenya. Joli lives in the Chicago area with her husband and two daughters. She is also on the faculty at Northwestern University and is president of Fridman Financial Planning.
 
 
Ruben Fridman, Treasurer and Secretary
Ruben is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and CFO of an consumer finance company, Turner Acceptance, in Chicago, Illinois. He is able to leverage his expertise in finance to efficiently run the finances of the foundation.
 

 
Kim and Jared Svoboda, Director of Strategic Alliances
Kim is a career consultant and Jared publishes children’s books. In 2015 Kim, Jared and their 2 daughters spent 9 months travelling the world. As part of their voyage, they spent time with Fred in Kenya visiting St.Christopher's Pre-school, Spurgeon’s Academy and St. Esther’s High School.
 
 
Nina Fridman, Youth Coordinator
Nina has worked with the foundation for many years and is our “idea gal”. She is in charge of developing fundraising ideas and awareness among students.
 
 
Maya Fridman, Northbrook 28 Liaison
Maya has been working with the foundation for many years. She helps organize School District 28’s Concert for Africa as well as all activities related to District 28 fundraising. Maya has been a dancer for 9 years and in 2013, she helped organize and performed in a large dance show fundraiser through her dance studio, DancEd in Northbrook.
 
 
Sharon Mitzen, Special Events
Sharon is responsible for assisting with the initiative to bring awareness to schools who would be interested in partnering with the foundation to raise money to help the students in Kenya.
